Governance Network: Developing a Strategic Fundraising Plan
Fundraising is a key responsibility for Trustees and Committee Members. With shrinking public funds and new fundraising requirements, trustees need to take a strategic approach to fundraising.
This network session will be led by Rob Alcroft, former Head of Fundraising Strategy & Planning at NSPCC and chair of the Institute of Fundraising’s Strategy Forum.
Rob will take you through the key components for introducing a more strategic approach to fundraising and challenge you to consider your role as a Trustee in supporting fundraising activity. The session will cover topics from fundraising fundamentals, through governance and regulation, to understanding your motivations, setting realistic targets and considering your appetite for innovation.
There will be opportunity to tackle some of your own organisation’s challenges as examples, as well as a Q&A to tap into Rob’s experience.
“I love discussing strategic challenges and seeing the opportunities unfold – particularly around generating income. Trustees have an essential role to play in supporting fundraising – they really can make the difference - and I’m looking forward to exploring this with the attendees on 31st October. It will be a good session.” Rob Alcroft.
